Vera Florentine's father is a kind hearted toy maker, who creates puppets, dolls, and contraptions like musical boxes and clocks.
Vera wants to see the world and experience it so that she can come back a good and independent girl.

Vera Florentine wears a boyish outfit that is reminiscent of the main character's from everyone's favorite classic children's novel.
The warm colors in her clothes give her look an easy, comforting feeling.
Her knee length overalls with the large fox and cat appliqués are matched with a flower patterned blouse, which is topped with a orange felt hat decorated with a pea pod detail.
Her whole outfit is whimsical and fun through and through!
